Mumbai:The prices of the Kinetic DX, which has been upgraded with a 3.1 kWh battery and a claimed range of 132 km, start at Rs 1.18 lakh.
The new Kinetic DX Plus variant is powered by a 3.1 kWh battery pack and is claimed to offer an IDC range of up to 132 km on a single charge.
The DX Plus is the newest addition to Kinetic’s range of electric scooters, powered by a larger 3.1 kWh battery pack. According to the company, the new version offers an IDC range of up to 132 km on a single charge. The Kinetic DX range is priced from Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom), while the newly launched DX Plus 3.1 kWh is the top-end variant.
Larger Battery For The DX Plus Variant
The standard DX continues to be offered with the smaller 2.6 kWh battery, while the new Kinetic DX Plus is available with a larger 3.1 kWh battery.
The larger battery extends the claimed range by 27 km compared with the DX Plus 2.6 kWh, which offers up to 105 km on the IDC cycle. According to Kinetic, the new battery uses LFP chemistry, which is known for its long-lasting performance and thermal stability.
The advertised 132 km range is based on IDC test conditions and does not represent the actual range that can be expected in real-world riding conditions. Actual range can vary depending on riding speed, traffic, load, terrain, tyre pressure, ambient temperature and riding mode.
Powertrain
The increase in range comes with a change in motor output. The DX Plus 3.1 kWh is equipped with a motor producing 3.8 kW of peak power, while the DX Plus 2.6 kWh gets a motor with 4.78 kW of peak power.
The new 3.1 kWh version features two riding modes: Range and Power. It does not get the Turbo mode available on the standard DX and the smaller-battery DX Plus.
The new DX Plus is therefore positioned as a range-focused option. The 2.6 kWh DX Plus offers stronger acceleration and an additional riding mode, while the 3.1 kWh version focuses on delivering a longer claimed range and reducing the frequency of charging stops.
Features And Colours
The DX Plus 3.1 kWh is equipped with the same features as the existing DX Plus. It gets a metal body, LED lighting, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster and 37-litre under-seat storage.
Other features include keyless go with password-based ignition, Easy Flip footrests, cruise control, telematics, a front disc brake, Park Assist, reverse mode and regenerative braking.
The new DX Plus 3.1 kWh is also offered in the same colour options as the existing DX Plus: Red, Blue, Black, Grey and White.
