Summary Of The Book: Having everything is not enough, but appreciating what you have, matters the most. Lets try to teach our little ones the art of being Thankful. Sing this song to your child and help them count their blessings. Help your child to complete the fun activities inside.
1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
‘It’s time to say Thank you’ takes charge to make our little ones thankful for whatever they have and to engage them with fun activities. Getting everything so easily and even without asking makes our little ones take things for granted, and with this book we are trying to tell kids that every little thing they have is valuable and they should be thankful.
Sing this song for your child and help them counting the blessing they have.
2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?
As a child with limited resources, I was happy enough; I am sure most of the 90’s parents can understand me here, but on the other hand, a room full of toys and a fridge full of chocolates is not enough for this generation’s little ones.
Parents still get to listen.
I don’t have toys.
You don’t buy anything for me, and many other similar statements
And that’s how I realised: I want my daughter to be thankful for all she has, and for that, I wrote a few lines; those are the parts of this amazing, colourful, and engaging book.
3. What got you writing in the first place?
Being a blogger, I always try my hands on creative writing, I try to write customise songs or poems or even stories for little Druvika. There are two more songs that I sing for Druvika, and one of them I wrote on her first birthday, I believe.
4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?
Initially, It was a 5-liner, but now we have around 20 lines in total, and from day 1, I knew I was doing amazing work because the core motive behind the book is to see happy and satisfied kids, nothing else.
5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?
The song is my creation, and every line is so precious and crucial for kids to be thankful for. One thing that connects me more is having Dosa in the activities. Dosa is Druvika’s favourite meal, and having that in this book makes it Truly an Indian Book too.
6. What makes your book the one to read?
This book is a fun way to teach our little ones to be thankful for all the blessings they have in their lives. And we all want happy and thankful kids, right?
7. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?
Rhonda Byrne for The Secret, and we all know the reason. Her one book helped millions of people to be thankful and successful in their lives.
8. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?
Actually, my evergreen tip is for all: do what you love the most.
9. Do you have another plot brewing?
May be soon, you never know.
