Nandiki Roja Ramani receives the Excellence in New Product Development & Innovation award on behalf of Dongyue Group at the Kanak News MSME Summit 2026.
Bhubaneswar, September 21, 2026: Dongyue Group received a significant recognition for its innovation-led approach to engineering and new product development at the Kanak News MSME Summit 2026, held at Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar. Nandiki Roja Ramani, Head – New Products Development, accepted the “Excellence in New Product Development & Innovation” award on behalf of the Group.
The award was presented in the presence of Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education, Government of Odisha, who attended the summit as Chief Guest. The programme featured discussions around the growth, challenges and opportunities of the MSME sector and brought together representatives from business, industry and other stakeholder communities.
In the citation presented by the award organisers, Dongyue Group was described as an industrial group focused on advanced manufacturing, innovation and the development of new-generation products and solutions. The citation highlighted the Group’s emphasis on research, technology and continuous product development and specifically recognised Nandiki Roja Ramani’s contribution to new product development and innovation.
Receiving the award, Nandiki Roja Ramani said the recognition was an honour on behalf of Dongyue Engineering & Fabricators. She described the company’s work as an effort to combine technology with practical and sustainable engineering solutions. She also highlighted an emerging area of development: converting low-value plastic waste into useful construction materials.
The focus is particularly relevant to Dongyue’s current work on technologies for transforming single-use plastics and difficult-to-recycle, low-end plastic waste into value-added products such as recycled plastic bricks, blocks and plastic paver blocks. The concept follows a circular approach in which waste material is treated as a potential raw material for construction applications rather than simply as a disposal problem.
“For us, sustainability is not just a trend,” Roja Ramani said while speaking at the programme. “It is about protecting the environment and creating a circular approach where waste can become a raw material and resource.” She summarised the philosophy in the company’s simple working motto: “Your pollution, our solution.”
The recognition also comes at a time when Dongyue is expanding its attention to new-generation construction materials and machinery. The Group has built its engineering activities around industrial waste utilisation, manufacturing technology and commercially practical production systems. Its current plastic-waste initiative extends that approach into a material stream that presents growing collection, recycling and reuse challenges.
Dr. Nandiki Gangadhar Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Dongyue Group, joined the award programme through teleconference from Greater Noida, where the Dongyue team was participating in Bauma India 2026. In his remarks, he connected the award with the growing interest the company is seeing in plastic-waste conversion technologies.
According to Dr. Reddy, interest is increasing in solutions that can convert difficult plastic waste into construction products, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities where plastic use and local waste-management challenges can create a need for practical recycling and reuse models. He said Dongyue intends to apply its experience in industrial-waste utilisation to this emerging field.
The Kanak News MSME Summit recognition therefore places the spotlight not only on an individual achievement by Nandiki Roja Ramani, but also on the broader product-development direction being pursued by Dongyue Group: engineering technologies that connect industrial innovation with resource recovery, construction applications and circular-economy opportunities.
