Gayatri Panchang Celebrates 50 years of golden jubilee of panchang
Ahmedabad: Gayatri Panchang, widely regarded as one of the most trusted and globally recognized Hindu almanacs, continues to uphold its legacy of precision in astrological calculations and future predictions. Founded by Late Shri Ragunath Dave, a respected astrologer and Panchang scholar, the publication has earned a reputation for reliability and scholarly excellence over the decades.
Today, his two sons are carrying forward their father’s vision, preserving the rich tradition while adapting to modern times.
A grand two-day celebration was organized to mark the occasion, drawing participation from over 110 distinguished guests, including scholars, priests, astrologers, and devotees from across India and abroad.
The event featured religious rituals, spiritual discussions, and scholarly sessions focused on the relevance of Panchang in everyday life. Eminent speakers emphasized the importance of Sanatan traditions, fasting practices, and the cultural significance of maintaining accurate astrological records.
Several noted Panchang writers and scholars graced the ceremony, including Jyotiben Bhatt (Janbhumi Panchang, Maharashtra), Abhishek B. Joshi (Jodhpur, Rajasthan), Dr. Arun Upadhyay (Odisha), Hemant Rajendkar (Nagpur), Pavan Pathak (Buddhi Vallabh Panchang, Dubai), B.V.S. Siddhanti (Surya Gayatri Panchang, Hyderabad), Pandit Vivek Sharma (Panchang Divakar, Jalandhar), Seshachala Sarma Chivukula (Shri Varahamihira Panchang, Hyderabad), and Pandit Dev Sharma (Kailash Panchang, Haryana).
The gathering also included devotional sessions and religious discourses, attracting a large number of followers from across Gujarat. The celebration reflected not only the enduring faith in Panchang traditions but also the continued relevance of ancient knowledge systems in contemporary society.
