Wolverhampton employee stands first in Maharashtra State Shooting Competition

In the recently concluded Maharashtra Air Gun Competition (MAGC) of 2024, Braj Bhushan Jha, hailing from Pune, clinched the top spot in the Air Pistol (MQS) category. Jha, who is currently associated with the University of Wolverhampton, showcased exemplary skill and determination in this prestigious state-level competition.

The MAGC serves as a crucial platform for aspiring shooters, opening doors to further contests such as the Pre-National and National Competitions. Organized by the Maharashtra Rifle Association, the event took place from January 27th to February 5th across venues in Mumbai and Nagpur.

Drawing the participation of over 200 shooting enthusiasts, the competition featured intense contests in both Air Pistol and Rifle disciplines, highlighting the growing interest and talent in the sport within the state.
