Poetry gave her a medium to express her emotions and tell her story in a way that she never could before. Through her poetry, she discovered the power of storytelling and the ability to express her emotions through words and rhythms. Her poems gave her the chance to tell her own story in her own unique way, and she quickly fell in love with the art form. While her life is still filled with legal documents and legal jargon, she has found solace in the world of poetry. Her poems reflect her own experiences and emotions, allowing readers to connect with her on a deeper level. As a young poet, she is still exploring the art form and developing her voice. Summary Of The Book: An anatomy of a wounded soul, A story that tells emotions untold. Within these pages lies a tale, Of love and loss, and emotions that prevail. Love, loss, and healing intertwined, Friendship and family, all come to mind. A journey through pain, a path to healing, A reminder that within us, there’s a feeling.

1. Can you tell us a little about your book?

This book is my debut collection of poetry. It reflects the emotions of love, loss, heal, trauma. Drawing from a diverse range of life experiences and emotions, the poems offer a fresh perspective that intertwines insight with the language of emotions. It’s a delicate dance between reason and sentiment. Through these verses, I aim to convey the message that even in our darkest moments, there is the potential for healing and growth. The collection celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the power of connection – whether it’s the connection between individuals, between emotions, or between the reader and the words on the page.

2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?

During the times of the Covid pandemic, I found myself in a phase where I felt lost and uncertain about my future. I was in the final semester of my graduation, with plans to further my studies in the U.K. However, circumstances took an unexpected turn, and my plans didn’t materialize as I had hoped. One night, while I had an anxiety attack, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It was as if I needed to release the overwhelming emotions that had built up inside me. I couldn’t scream, so I turned to writing. I opened the notes on my device and began to pen down my thoughts and feelings. It was a way to cope with the anxiety and give voice to what I was experiencing. The next day, when I woke up and revisited what I had written, I realized that those words had taken shape as something resembling a poetry piece. And the journey started from there. The start of 2023 was a bit harsh as well, I had sleepless nights and then I composed most of the poems, they are in this book as well.

3. What got you writing in the first place?

In 2013, I stumbled upon Wattpad, and it was like discovering a hidden treasure trove of stories. Reading those stories ignited a spark within me. One day, it struck me that I could share my stories as well, so I started writing there. (no laughter, please) Perhaps it’s in my genes, a trait passed down through generations, because my mom and grandparents are all avid readers. While they may tease me for my insatiable reading habits, they unknowingly passed on the love for literature that led me to begin my own writing adventure.

4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

I distinctly remember reading my first draft and thinking, “I need a lot many cups of tea and maybe a therapist because what did I just unleash onto the pages!”

5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

Why? Well, you know, it’s like trying to pick a favourite star in the night sky – Many of the poems draw inspiration from my own life experiences and emotions. Those who know me well would likely recognize that some poems are written with a piece of my own soul in them. I intentionally used my own life as a bridge to connect with readers. By sharing my personal experiences and emotions, I aim to create a sense of resonance and understanding among those who may have encountered similar challenges or emotions in their lives. While I can’t name them all, these poems represent an authentic part of my storytelling, one that allows me to connect with readers on a deeply personal level.

6. What makes your book the one to read?

What makes my book a convincing read is its ability to resonate with today’s generation on a deeply emotional level, I believe that. Through my poetry, I touch upon themes like love, lust, and loss, which are experiences that many in this generation can readily connect with. Readers may find themselves saying, “I can relate to this,” as they explore the pages of my work. Moreover, my collection goes beyond the realm of personal relationships and delves into themes of family and trauma. I believe that these poems can serve as a mirror, reflecting both the minute and profound challenges that individuals have faced in their lives. I believe that will make my book readable.

7. What was the best advice you got while writing?

The best advice I received while writing came from a friend who told me, “Whatever you write is your creation, and it is your best effort. So, don’t let anybody tell you that you are not an artist. You have, of course, created a masterpiece.” This advice was a powerful reminder to believe in myself as a writer, embrace my unique voice, and not be overly critical of my work. It encouraged me to focus on the process of creation and to take pride in my craft, no matter where I was on my writing journey.

8. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

I’m sure I can answer with – ‘ I don’t have one favourite, I fall in love with the writers who touch my heart and soul’, but at the moment, my favourite author is Mitch Albom. His book “Tuesdays with Morrie” is what made me fall in love with his work. This poignant and beautifully written memoir not only showcases his skill as a writer but also his ability to convey profound life lessons through storytelling. Albom’s compassionate exploration of the human condition and the wisdom he imparts through his writing have inspired me deeply as a writer myself.

9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

As a debut writer, my evergreen tip to fellow writers would be to write with unbridled passion. Let your heart and soul infuse every word you put on paper. Don’t worry too much about perfection in your first draft; just get your thoughts and ideas down. Editing can come later. Writing is not just a skill, it’s an art and art can sometimes be bad in the start, so let the days flow, let your mind be free and bring out the best in you. Self-doubt will make you believe in all the negativities, but let them not cloud your mind.

10. What was your hardest scene to write?

The most intricate poems in my collection are those that delve into the past. Some of them continue to haunt me even now, to the extent that I cannot bear to read them when I am alone. Composing these poems was a hard task, as each word I penned down seemed to resurrect feelings of fear and anxiety from my past.

11. Do you have another plot brewing?

I am working on a thriller fiction which was in initial idea, let’s see where the story goes.
