About the author: Santana Babu hails from Mylapore, Chennai. The spiritual environment since his childhood made him inclined towards the scriptures. He is interested in knowing our ancient culture and believes in spreading the knowledge that is being eradicated, leaving no footprints for the future generation. 2. Can you tell us a little about your book?

“The Sacred Cow” is all about our connection with the Cow. It gives you an understanding of how we are connected with this being from puranic times. God and Goddess are associated with this divine being. This book helps you to pass on the understanding to the upcoming generation.

3. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out-of-the-blue idea?

Prior to the Covid-19 period, I did several Gau Dhaan and Gau pooja; during the Covid-19 pandemic period, we performed about 100 Gau-Pooja for the resolution of the pandemic, which gave me tremendous experience on what a Cow can do to this world. That was the point, I decided to share my knowledge about the Sacred Cow.

4. What got you writing in the first place?

Writing is my natural self. I have written several scripts for TV channels in my career, and I have also written a couple of drama plays.

5. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

My first draft was not up to the mark and I have re-written my book at least nine times.

6. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

There is nothing specific about a specific connection, in fact in all the chapters that have been written, there is always someone who connect with it.

Keep thinking, keep inking

10. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

Writing is honestly a habit that shall come only when you make it a habit.
