Mumbai:Actor Shreyas Talpade has been announced as the new host of the popular music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which will now have a bigger format and a greater emphasis on the various types of music in India. The new season will kick off on 19th September at 9.30 PM on Zee TV and be available on ZEE5.
The new season is called ‘Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan’ and has a specially designed 360-degree stage which will provide a concert-like experience for viewers. More than 100 musicians are on stage alongside a big chorus, creating a live musical scale and showcasing a variety of sounds and traditions throughout the country.
The musical panel will be headed by Shankar Mahadevan, Kumar Sanu, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali who will give direction and guidance to the singers participating in the season. The new edition builds on a foundation of familiar Indian music with new acts. As the show is hosted by Talpade, he said he is happy to have the opportunity and that it was an honour to share the stage with Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan and Kumar Sanu among other musicians. He also spoke about the set-up and the talent that will be acting in the upcoming episodes.
The new season aims to showcase Indian music in a format that has a competitive reality-show feel and a large-scale concert atmosphere, through a vastly increased stage, musical ensemble and a cast of seasoned music personalities. This show will be available on Zee TV and ZEE5.
