New Delhi, September 17, 2025: The 8th edition of REFCOLD India, the premier expo addressing the growing refrigeration and cold chain needs of India, especially in the north, is all set to unveil in the capital at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from 18-20 September, 2025. The Expo in its 8th Edition is a collaboration between ISHRAE (The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) and Informa Markets in India, featuring over 200 exhibitors and attracting over 10,000 professionals from diverse sectors.
Recognized as a ‘sunrise Sector’, the cold chain industry’s significance is critical to India’s evolving economy. North India, a hub for agricultural and industrial production, plays a pivotal role in this expansion with its abundant production of fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meat. The rise of organized food delivery services in major cities alongside the growth of e-commerce platforms, has accelerated demand for modern cold storage facilities. Effective cold chain solutions are essential to reduce post-harvest losses and meet market demands across the region.
Industry Leaders and Global Participation
This year’s event will host top brands such as Copeland, Daikin, Danfoss, Carrier Transicold, Rinac, and Luve to attract professionals from diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, seafood, dairy, meat, agriculture, hospitality, logistics, food processing, healthcare, retail, and bakeries. The event will feature international participation with delegations from Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, and Kenya, creating avenues for cross-border collaboration.
Supported by prestigious associations including the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), the National Centre for Cold-chain Development (NCCD), and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), the event serves as a hub for knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
Innovation Showcases and Knowledge Exchange
REFCOLD India 2025 will feature specialized platforms such as the Innovation Zone, Demo Zone, Product Launch Pad, Celebrating the next generation of engineers through a Global student Poster Competition, and Outdoor Displays, spotlighting next-generation technologies across multiple refrigeration applications.
Knowledge sessions including the India Cold Chain Conclave 4.0, INDEE 3.0, the IIR Seminar, and the Industry Leaders Conclave will convene policymakers, experts, and innovators to discuss efficiency, innovation, and climate-resilient practices. Topics will include natural refrigerants, national policies for the cold chain sector, and sustainable technologies. Speakers include Dr. Yosr Allouche (IIR), Asheesh Fotedar (NCCD), Ashish Rakheja (AEON), Lt. Cdr Krishna Lokanadham (Danfoss India), and Jayanta Kumar Das (ISHRAE).
