Ferry Bhatia born in the serene landscapes of Amritsar, Punjab, on 31st OCT 1993, She epitomizes resilience and determination. From the precincts of a regional medium school, where punctuality shaped her character, to the vast horizons of the university, ferry’s journey has been transformative. Completing graduation in BBA from DAV COLLEGE,AMRITSAR and then Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from BBK DAV College,Amritsar. She started writing in print media during her Masters. Being Guru Nanak Dev University topper in Masters in Journalism refined her Communication, interpersonal and Writing skills .
Despite a gleaming start as an Assistant Professor in MCVP Department in DAV College, Amritsar. Then becoming Incharge of the PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Khalsa College, Amritsar. Yet, She rose, fueled by the unending quest for self-improvement. Then Becaming Part Of Hindustan Times Youth Forum, Under 30, Receiving Shri Param Hans Research Foundation Trust, Academic Entrepreneurship Award 2020 For Distinct Contribution In The Field Of Education At Young Age. And gained biggest achievement when she was Nominated for ‘Bharat Achievement Award, 2022, In Top 100 Legends For Continuous Effort For And In Lifting The Spirit Of Women Empowerment Under Arts And Entertainment Section by ‘Gems of India’.
With deep introspection, rigorous efforts to do something in life and never letting her stop self-analysis, and dedicated skill enhancement, she bravely ventured into RAAHI Project, as an PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION OFFICER UNDER CITIIS PROJECT, ASCL. RAAHI Rejuvenation of Auto Rickshaw’s in Amritsar through Holistic Intervention (RAAHI) is part of City Investments To Innovate, Integrate and Sustain (CITIIS) program. CITIIS program is the main component of the ‘Program to fund Smart City projects through a Challenge Process’ launched by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in July 2018. This project aims to convert old diesal autos to e- auto. With the focus to curb pollution, traffic issues, give better Livelihood Opportunities (Skill Development Programs for female members of auto rickshaw drivers’ families), Strengthening of Auto Rickshaw Sector, (Enhanced pedestrian infrastructure at Metrobus BRT Stations and auto rickshaw stands) and Better Air Quality (Financial Assistance for replacement of old diesel auto rickshaws with e-autos).
