Bhubaneswar, India: In a significant development for India’s premium roofing and construction materials sector, Dr. Nandiki Gangadhar Reddy, Founder and CEO of Dongyue India, and Mr. Edward Gong, Vice President of Dongyue Machinery Group, China, have entered into a landmark cooperation to expand high-end stone coated metal roofing solutions across the Indian market.
The partnership aims to introduce advanced stone coated roof tiles to Indian homeowners, architects, builders, developers and villa projects seeking roofing solutions that combine aesthetics, durability and functional performance.
Under the cooperation, Dongyue India will serve as the principal stockist and distributor for the stone coated roofing products. The company also plans to establish an Experience Centre-cum-Demonstration House, where customers and professionals can see the roofing systems in actual applications.
The centre is also expected to provide short-term practical training to clients’ fabrication and installation teams. The objective is to help roofing professionals understand the correct methods of cutting, fixing and installing stone coated metal roof tiles across different roof designs and architectural applications.
Dr. Nandiki Gangadhar Reddy said the partnership represents an important step towards making premium roofing technology more accessible in India.
“Stone coated metal roofing combines attractive architectural design with the strength and performance required for Indian conditions. Our objective is to bring a product to India that looks premium, performs well and provides long-term value to the customer,” said Dr. Reddy.
The roofing sheets use Galvalume steel as the base material, which is formed into profiled shapes to improve structural rigidity and strength. The stone coating provides the distinctive appearance of traditional roofing tiles while contributing to the system’s resistance to heat and external environmental conditions.
According to Dr. Reddy, the roofing systems are designed for a minimum service life of around 30 years, subject to appropriate installation and environmental conditions.
The partnership will initially focus on premium residential projects, villas, architectural homes, commercial buildings and other applications where aesthetics and long-term performance are important considerations.
With India’s construction sector increasingly looking for modern roofing materials that offer both visual appeal and functional advantages, Dongyue India believes stone coated metal roofing can occupy an important position in the country’s evolving building-materials market.
The collaboration between Dr. Nandiki Gangadhar Reddy and Dongyue Machinery Group is therefore positioned as more than a product distribution arrangement. It is intended to create a complete ecosystem covering product availability, technical demonstration, installer training, customer support and distribution.
