Mumbai: The Hindi film industry’s release season continues to be one of excitement for the rest of 2026, boasting a variety of theatrical and OTT films set for release in the coming months. The present release schedule consists of Star-led entertainers, sequels, thriller movies, mythological films, dramas and pan-India movies.
The updated release list shared by Bollywood Hungama shows that a few movies are set to release from September to December, including big releases in festive and year-end months. The publication states that producers and distributors provide release dates which can be changed at any time and that the list is updated regularly. All releases are still certified for censorship.
Among the films currently scheduled for September are Last Man In Tower, Haiwaan, Om Ka Hari, Love Lottery, Daayra, Bharat Desh Hai Mera and Vibe. The schedule also includes digital releases such as Ghamasaan and Lust Stories 3.
The October calendar brings a mix of established franchises and new projects, including Drishyam – The Conclusion, Valmiki Ramayana, Udta Teer, Jailer 2, Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story and Raftaar. November continues with titles such as Ramayana – Part I, Mysaa, Gunmaaster G9 and Yeh Prem Mol Liya.
The year-end period is also expected to see several high-profile releases. The December schedule currently includes Fauzi, Chandni Bar, Chamunda, King, Shakti Shalini, Mahavatar and the English-language release Avengers: Doomsday, among others.
The release calendar further extends into 2027, with films such as Love and War, Spirit, Force 3, Varanasi, Stree 3, Ramayana – Part II and Tumbbad 2 currently carrying scheduled dates.
With multiple genres and established franchises represented across the calendar, the upcoming slate reflects the industry’s continued focus on theatrical event films alongside digital premieres. Release dates, however, remain subject to change based on production, distribution and certification considerations.
