Mumbai:Ramayana Advance Booking: Audiences are showing tremendous excitement about experiencing the epic tale of the Ramayana on the big screen once again. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the much-awaited film Ramayana Part One is already generating significant buzz ahead of its release. Viewers are eager to see Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and KGF star Yash as Ravana. The figures emerging around the film’s advance booking have further fuelled the excitement.
One of the most interesting aspects of the film is that even expensive tickets do not appear to be dampening audience enthusiasm. Demand for the IMAX format is reportedly so strong that several shows are filling up quickly despite an average ticket price of ₹1,095. The film’s advance bookings have become a major talking point even before its theatrical release.
Strong Response to Advance Bookings Ahead of Release
According to reports, advance bookings for Ramayana Part One opened on October 20. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 5, 2026. It is already witnessing considerable excitement among audiences ahead of its release.
The film has reportedly earned around ₹8.72 crore through advance bookings in India so far, with approximately 200,000 tickets sold. Initially, demand for the Hindi version was said to be higher, while interest in the Kannada version has reportedly been increasing. However, these figures and the methodology used to calculate them require independent verification.
Strong Demand for ₹1,095 IMAX Tickets Despite Premium Pricing
Demand for the IMAX format has emerged as a major talking point in the advance bookings for Ramayana. Audiences often prefer regular screenings because of the higher cost of premium-format tickets, but the response to this film appears to be different.
According to reports, IMAX screenings account for approximately 3.8% of the film’s total shows, while their contribution to advance-booking revenue is estimated at around 25%.
Meanwhile, the average ticket price for regular screenings is reportedly around ₹380, with approximately 35 tickets sold per show. In comparison, IMAX tickets are said to have an average price of ₹1,095, with around 170 tickets sold per show.
If these figures are accurate, they indicate strong audience interest in experiencing the film in a premium theatrical format.
Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana
The film’s star-studded cast is another major factor attracting audience attention. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play Mata Sita.
South Indian superstar Yash will appear as Ravana, a character that has generated considerable curiosity among fans. Sunny Deol will portray Lord Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey will play Lakshman.
Made on a grand scale, the film aims to bring the Indian epic Ramayana to the big screen with a fresh cinematic experience. Expectations are high for its visual spectacle, performances and portrayal of the timeless story.
