More than 1,000 children of deceased farmers and BMC schools experienced a memorable day of wellness, inspiration, learning and entertainment as Divyaj Foundation celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 at SVP DOME, Worli. Led by Amruta Fadnavis, Founder of Divyaj Foundation, singer, former banker and social activist, the event brought together government leaders, wellness experts, social change-makers and celebrities for a unique initiative focused on resilience, empowerment and hope.
The celebration witnessed the presence of Anupriya Patel, Hon. Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India; Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Hon. Minister for Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra; Ashwini Bhide, IAS; Manju Lodha; Seema Singh; Mazhar Nadiadwala, Managing Director, DOME Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.; and Shantilal Muttha, Founder of Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana.
The day began with a mass yoga and meditation session led by globally renowned holistic health guru Dr. Mickey Mehta, who encouraged the children to embrace physical fitness, emotional balance and mindful living. Through guided yoga and meditation, the children experienced first-hand the transformative power of wellness practices designed to build confidence, focus and inner strength.
Amruta Fadnavis personally interacted with the children throughout the event, encouraging them to believe in themselves, rise above challenges and pursue their dreams with determination. Her message centred on resilience, self-belief and the importance of nurturing both physical and mental well-being from a young age.
Adding warmth and excitement to the celebration, Shahid Kapoor spent time interacting with the children, sharing moments of joy and motivating them to approach life with positivity, confidence and enthusiasm. His presence brought smiles to hundreds of young faces and reinforced the event’s message that every child has the potential to achieve greatness.
Jackie Shroff touched hearts with his candid interaction and inspiring life lessons. Drawing from his own journey, he encouraged the children to remain grounded, work hard, value relationships and never allow adversity to define their future. His heartfelt words resonated deeply with the young audience, many of whom have overcome significant personal challenges.
Actor Sreeleela brought energy and positivity to the celebration, motivating the children to dream fearlessly, work towards their goals and embrace every opportunity that comes their way. Her interaction highlighted the importance of perseverance, discipline and maintaining a positive outlook irrespective of circumstances.
One of the most inspiring moments of the day came from renowned educator and Super 30 founder Anand Kumar, whose extraordinary story of transforming lives through education left a lasting impact on the children. Encouraging them to view education as a powerful tool for change, he reminded them that determination and knowledge can overcome even the most difficult obstacles.
The celebration also featured a spectacular aerial acrobatic performance by the all-women ensemble Yo Highness, whose breathtaking choreography and gravity-defying acts captivated the audience. Adding to the excitement was Drum Cafe’s highly interactive musical experience, where children created rhythmic beats using Boomwhackers, fostering teamwork, creativity and collective participation in a joyful atmosphere.
Far more than a Yoga Day event, the celebration became a platform for empowerment, emotional healing and inspiration. By combining yoga, mindfulness, education, motivation and entertainment, Divyaj Foundation created a meaningful experience that reminded every child present that their dreams matter, their future matters and that they have the strength to shape their own destiny.
