Philanthropist Bharat J Mehra associated with Shagufta Hanaphie Events (SHE) to honour seven women from various fields for their meaningful contribution to society at the 7th Annual Inspiring Women Achievers Awards (IWAA) 2026.
The 7th Edition of the Inspiring Women Achievers Awards (IWAA), envisioned by social activist, PR expert, and event designer Ms. Shagufta Hanaphie , presented by philanthropist Bharat J Mehra in association with Universal Education Equity Foundation and Friends FM and co associated by Alok Foundation and Best Friendz Society will be held on 20th May at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata.
The award evening will be attended by phenomenal leaders from industries, institutions, corporates, and professionals from diverse walks of life. The event will also witness participation from industry leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, representatives from financial institutions, and members of civil society.
According to Sri Bharat J Mehra “Today’s women are spearheading transformative strategies and championing equity and sustainability. Women at the helm are proving that diverse perspectives lead to stronger and more resilient organizations.”
Shagufta Hanaphie, Chairperson of IWAA, emphasized that the initiatives she has created through awards and similar events are aimed not only at recognizing women achievers in society, but also at creating role models in every field who inspire the next generation to pursue entrepreneurship and leadership.
The award evening will celebrate the felicitation ceremony of the seven gems being honoured:

- Yachna Lakhotia – Entrepreneur
- Dr. Nandini Kanoria – Pathologist
- Smriti Kunz – Edupreneur
- Runjhun Gupta – Interior Designer
- Addl. SP WB Police Santi Das – Nation’s Service
The evening will become even more melodious with a special performance by a group of educators popularly known as H3M.
At IWAA, awards are strictly by invitation only. The advisory team, comprising eminent personalities from diverse fields, has undertaken a meticulous three-layer judging process to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection of awardees. A unified decision by all members on board was made with absolutely no bias.
