The new range comes with new petrol and all-electric variants, still at a price starting at ₹1.95 crore (ex-showroom).
Munbai: BMW India has announced that Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been made their brand ambassador and presented a revamped BMW 7 Series range in New Delhi in a brand exclusive event. The pairing of the star’s public image with the BMW flagship luxury sedan is a very appealing combination.
Ranveer Singh presented the new generation of BMW 7 Series range, featuring a blend of fresh exterior styling, technology-rich interior and different powertrains – petrol and all-electric. The launch will be considered a new beginning for BMW India’s premium luxury brand.
The India line-up comprises the BMW 740 M Sport, the BMW i7 eDrive50 xDrive M Sport and the BMW i7 M70 xDrive. The BMW 740 M Sport and BMW i7 eDrive50 xDrive M Sport are priced at ₹1.95 crore each, ex-showroom, while the BMW i7 M70 xDrive is priced at ₹2.65 crore, ex-showroom.
The new range features BMW’s latest luxury design language, alongside a redesigned interior focused on comfort, connectivity and premium passenger experience. The i7 variants extend the 7 Series offering into the all-electric luxury segment.
A key highlight of the announcement is the local production of the BMW i7 at BMW Group Plant Chennai. With this development, India becomes the only country outside Germany to manufacture the electric 7 Series. Deliveries of the new range are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The launch reflects BMW India’s continued focus on offering customers a choice between conventional and electric luxury mobility, while strengthening the presence of its flagship 7 Series family in the Indian market.
